Expecting a Delivery?
To ensure a smooth and efficient delivery experience, we kindly ask customers to prepare their homes in advance. This helps our team deliver and install your furniture safely and without delay.
How to Prepare for Your Delivery:
Clear Entryways: Ensure all pathways, hallways, and staircases are free from obstacles. This includes removing any fragile items, decorations, or personal belongings that could be at risk during the delivery process.
Protect Floors and Walls: While our team takes great care during deliveries, we recommend protecting floors and walls where necessary, especially in narrow spaces or areas with delicate surfaces.
Access and Parking: If your property has restricted access or specific parking requirements, please inform your retailer ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Important Delivery Terms:
Risk Acknowledgment: Empire Delivery cannot be held liable for any damage if a damage waiver has been signed and/or if the retailer or customer has approved delivery despite known risks, such as tight spaces, difficult access, or fragile surroundings. Our team will always exercise due care and professionalism, but deliveries under these conditions are made at the customer’s own risk.
Delivery Date and Time: Delivery dates can only be rescheduled by contacting your retailer directly. Change of delivery address or any personal details can be changed directly via Empire Delivery. Please note that delivery dates and times are subject to change, with final confirmation provided by 4:00 PM the day before the agreed delivery date.
On the Day of Delivery:
Receiving the Delivery: Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery during the scheduled time. If the delivery cannot be completed due to the absence of someone to accept it, a re-delivery charge may apply.
Product Inspection: Upon delivery, we encourage you to inspect your furniture. If there are any concerns, please report them immediately to your retailer. Issues must be raised within 48 hours.
Photography & Product Inspection Policy
To protect both our customers and Empire Delivery, and to maintain high standards of quality assurance, we reserve the right to take photographs and inspect products at key stages of the delivery process:
1. At Our Warehouse:
Prior to dispatch, our team may photograph and inspect items to document their condition before they leave our facility. This helps identify any issues before delivery and supports quality control.
2. During Delivery:
Photographs may be taken at the point of delivery, including outside and inside the property, to confirm the item was delivered in the condition it left the warehouse and to verify successful delivery. Our team will always act respectfully and professionally in customer homes, and photos will be limited to the relevant context of the delivery.
3. In Customer Homes:
With customer consent, our team may take photographs of the delivered items once placed in the agreed room. This is solely to verify the condition and setup of the product for warranty, liability, and dispute resolution purposes.
Purpose of Photography:
These images are used:
As evidence in the event of a damage claim or delivery dispute.
For internal training and service improvement.
To support partners in managing customer queries.
Data Handling:
All photographs are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Photographic data is securely stored, access is limited to authorised personnel only, and it will not be used for marketing without express consent.
